By special arrangement with the New England Quilt Museum, this signature quilt, presented in 1861 to Carrie F. Foster of West Henniker, NH, will be on display at Quilted Threads during business hours Aug. 3-5, 2018. That weekend, Henniker celebrates the 250th anniversary of its founding.

A mystery surrounds this quilt and the reason it was presented to Carrie Foster. If you have connections to families living in the area at that time, you may be able to help us solve the mystery.

QT staff and Henniker residents Julie Costello and Anne Hunter are spearheading the making of a new Henniker friendship quilt. The new quilt will be donated to the historical society in honor of both the original quilt and the town’s 250th anniversary.

What is a friendship quilt without friends? We invite all our QT family and friends to sign the blocks for the new quilt. No need to be from Henniker!
