This is the perfect dress for your girl on the go! It is darling on little girls and has a modern look for bigger girls. In our cold New England months, this dress can be worn with leggings and a jersey. The Hide and Seek Dress, by Oliver & S, is modern and classic at the same time, with two sleeve variations, top stitching and welted pockets. Without pockets it can be made as a top.

During the class you will learn step by step construction of this dress. You will also learn upgraded construction techniques, including set in sleeves, seam variations, seam finishing and proper buttonhole placement. Even if you are new to garment construction you will leave the class with a finished, or very close to finished dress.  This class is intended for beginner to intermediate students. You will receive a comprehensive handout that will be a reference for you in sewing future garments.

Lynn Blanchard has been a nurse and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in a Boston medical center for more than forty years. Now that she is semi-retired, she has more time to devote to her second passion, sewing. Her specialty is smocking and heirloom sewing for babies and children, creating heirlooms for future generations. She has honed her craft to include proper construction, fine finishing techniques and beautiful embroidery.  Lynn has a special love for christening gowns, and owns an extensive collection of antique gowns.  Over the years she has studied under many national and international teachers and has had several garments published in Creative Needle magazine.
