12 Days of Christmas Stocking: 2016

christmas_stocking_full_of_goodies_0515-0912-0320-2556_smuDon’t miss our famous 12 Days of Christmas Stocking!

After taking a year off from wrapping, we’re back in the business of stuffing stockings!

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…..

  • Does your true love need some help with their holiday shopping?
  • Is your family looking for something a little different to give you this year?
  • Or, perhaps, do you just feel like treating yourself to a special gift after all your own holiday prep is completed?

If this describes you (and you have faith in our taste and good judgement!), be sure to put your name on one of our Quilted Threads’ 12 Days of Christmas Stockings!

Let us stuff your stocking with 12 high-quality tools, notions, and gifts – some fresh from Quilt Market – all wrapped and ready for opening!

We are keeping the identity of the items a secret in order to preserve the surprise for all, and while we can’t include drummers drumming or pipers piping, we know you will love each of the 12 Days’ gifts!

Your cost for the stocking reflects a 25-30% discount off retail pricing, making it not only an irresistible savings opportunity, but a fun treat as well!

Here are the details:

  • Sign up begins immediately and ends on Saturday, December 3.
  • Call the store soon to reserve your stocking, as supplies are limited. (603-428-6622)
  • Pick-up begins on Saturday, December 17 for local customers. Stockings can be shipped for an additional cost, and will be mailed on December 9th to ensure delivery by the 25th!
  • Your cost for the stuffed stocking: $190.00 (Retail value is more than $260.)
  • Pre-payment is required at the time of enrollment, and all sales of these items will be non-refundable.

Are you hesitant to sign up without knowing what you are purchasing? The QT staff was until they learned what would be in the “stocking!” Here are a few of their reactions:

From Elly:
I just love these Christmas surprises! When Becky first mentioned the idea, I must say I was skeptical about spending money on unknown gifts. But when we were told what each exciting stocking gift was – I am sold! I am definitely in. There are many “hot off the quilt market shelves” and other “can’t do without” items.
Treat yourself and/or if you are in a giving mood, these make very nice gifts for your quilting friends! Happy holidays!

From Jo-Ellen:
I am excited. I am REALLY excited!! This is such a fun way to explore some of the hot new things Becky found at market.

From Mary:
Honestly, you will not be disappointed when you open your “gifts.” You will use everything in the stocking – lots of new products you will wonder how you did without.

Don’t miss out on the holiday fun!
Call the store to reserve your stocking (603-428-6622).

We’ve had a great time putting it together for you!

Question. Do you have a white fabric with black line drawings of buildings with signs that say diner, etc and have small splashes of primary colors? Let me know!

Thanks so much, Sharon. This is lots of fun for me to put together and imagining (and hoping for) the fun you may have opening the stocking makes it even nicer. You know I appreciate your support!

If for some reason we are not exited about any of the items, will there be a way to return one or more of them after Christmas? I love the idea of surprise, but that’s too expensive to not be allowed to return stuff. I’d probably be more inclined to buy individual surprise items in various smaller price groups to add to stockings I’m already stuffing.

Hi Chris. Unfortunately, the stocking is non-refundable and sounds like it is not really suitable for your needs. I’ve considered all sorts of formats for this, but this has been the winning concept for the last two seasons. After taking a year off and receiving many pleas to do it again, I’m back this year with another stocking. I know it’s risky and completely understand your hesitation, so know it’s not for everyone. I really try hard to fill it with a range of items, as new as possible, write about each one, and discount them all heavily for your pleasure and savings. Maybe one year I’ll try something different that works better for you. Thanks so much for even thinking about it.

I just called and signed up for my stocking. I am very excited. I am a single mom, so I am never surprised at Christmas, but this year I will be. Some of my friends have donated towards the stocking cost as my gift. I have friends that have received stockings in past years and they have loved everything in it. These recipients are seasoned quilters that did not have many of the items, would not have bought them for themselves, and now use them on a regular basis. Thank you QT for creating this element of excitement. Many people take it for granted, but this is one girl who will cherish every moment!

      Hi Michelle,
Thank you so much for your nice words about our 12 Days Stockings! I don’t get much feedback from previous recipients, so your remarks mean a lot to me. I think this year’s is the best one yet, and it will be in the mail to you tomorrow afternoon – in plenty of time to beat the holiday postal rush. Enjoy, and merry Christmas! Becky

Wow, looking forward to picking up the stocking. It always a wonderful gift to myself, and when I pick it up I will take the opportunity to pick up some fabric and a new book.
